Central Texas Tree Care is owned and operated by Andrew Johnson and Javier Robles. Andy Johnson

Co-owner of Central Texas Tree Care, Andy was educated at Virginia Tech, one of the nations top forestry schools. While earning his degree, Andy interned with a large lumber and paper company in Northern Florida for two years. After graduation, he decided to make a transition over to urban Forestry, finding it more interesting and personally rewarding. Andy has been saving and protecting trees for private homeowners ever since.

Directly after graduation, Andy went back to Central Florida as a contractor for Gainesville Regional Utilities and then Moved to Northern California as a contractor for Pacific Gas and Electric under the vegetation management programs. Freshly out of college Andy learned valuable customer skills and was able to travel all over northern California.

From here, Andy moved on to work for Bartlett Tree Experts in Marin County and San Jose, California where he continued to hone his skills in tree identification and learned pest management. After working as a manager for Bartlett Tree Experts for 7 years, Andy moved on to Austin, Texas and started Central Texas Tree Care.

Andy is also a Veteran of the Army National Guard of Maryland and Virginia, where he served honorably with the 29th infantry division from 1986-1992.

Javier Robles

Co-owner of Central Texas Tree Care, Javier has been involved in tree care since 1973. He went to work for his uncle’s Tree Care Company in Marin County, Northern California in the Spring of that year where learned his basic pruning and tree removal methods. From fine pruning to Redwood and Eucalyptus removals, Javier learned all the skills necessary for safe and efficient tree work.

Later in his career, Javier moved on to work for Bartlett Tree Experts, where he honed his pruning skills and learned a more scientific approach to build on his skills as an arborist. Javier and Andy met in Marin County, and helped to turn around the Bartlett Tree Experts operation in San Jose, California. After successfully running the field operations for this office for 7 years, Javier moved to Austin Texas.

Soon after moving to Austin, Javier and Andy formed Central Texas Tree Care. With over 35 years of pruning and leadership experience, the skill level and knowledge base Javier brings to the company is second to none.

Javier is responsible for training and hiring field staff and maintaining the equipment. He is a roving supervisor, and still works in a field capacity overlooking the two head foremen and filling in for them from time to time and maintaining the highest safety standards. He also runs sales calls. All of our customers think very highly of him, and he is a genuinely nice guy and loves working with people. He is also a perfectionist with very high standards in everything he does.
